Rink Tote 2.0

Since we first introduced the original Rink Tote to the figure skating world just over 10 years ago, our focus has always been to offer skaters an easy organization of their in-rink essentials while keeping their spirits up with its iconic style in various color palettes and material choices. It was an instant hit, and soon it went on to become a common fixture at any rink all over the world while creating a new product category in the process.

Certain things have changed since then, both on and off the ice. For one, CDs seem to be mostly gone by now, and definitely more people are carrying their own water bottles, insteaad of disposable plastic bottles. This marks the first major design change ever for our signature product, and we wanted to make sure these societal changes would be reflected while maintaining our focus on our brand philosophy; Practicality with Style.

Except only we just took it to a whole new level, inside and out!

From the new 3-compartment structure with better organization and load balance, to the handles you can now “mix and match” even between front and back, to the multi-purpose aluminum utility chain that can be both functional and stylish additions, we thought it all out for you so it helps you get the most out of your precious time on the ice while sitting pretty and cheering you (silently) from the board day in, day out.

3-Compartment Structure

As popular as our original version was, with just one space divider inside, it simply didn't offer the best load balance nor organizationl solution as most of you would put your tissue box in one side and everything else, including the water bottle, in the other.

By going with three compartments, not only were we able to achieve much better load balance, but we were also able to create a triangular space in each corner, one of which should be the perfect designated space for your water bottle where it can fit in comfortably and snugly.

Organization

Another major design objective was to move most of the pockets to inside to prevent those all-purplse big pockets to get swollen and exposed on the outside. To achieve this, we furnished inside walls with a bunch of smaller flat panel pockets of different sizes and purposes in mind, all scattered across for easy top-down access.

Better yet, in order to maximize the interior space, we chose to go with stretch materials for these pockets since they would hold items tightly in place while staying flat and out of the way when they are empty.

Multi-Purpose Utility Chain

While our previous version went through several iterations with minor tweaks, they always had a back strap for the rollerboard handle. But since not everybody lugs their rollerboard into the rink and that strap didn't exactly score high on the style side of it, we decided to go with a removable option this time around, and soon we found the perfect answer in this beautiful aluminum chain link, which is light yet strong and durable.

You could also order extra sets to secure your keys or ice pass case... or simply for an additional accessory element.

Personalization

After years of seeing so many skaters made our totes really their own with a whole array of charms, rhinestones, paint, stickers, etc., we knew we wanted to offer some kind of built-in personalization options as well from the beginning of this project.

With all these à la carte replacement handles and a few utlity chains also available, we hope you can come up with a combination you truly love carrying around... and showing off to the world!
